GW Home is a new brand concept from Gardner White and represents a return to its roots. It offers a curated shopping experience of stylish furniture, home décor, art and accessories.
In 1912, the first Gardner White store opened on a Fort Street in Detroit, just a few miles west of the new GW Home storefront. And with the current Renaissance of Detroit happening, it was only natural for Gardner White to come home. For over a century, this fourth-generation family-owned and operated business has been guided by one principle – to improve lives through furniture – whether you are a customer or member of the community. Today, GW Home elevates that principle by partnering with area artists and innovative local brands to create a gallery of design excellence.
In addition to a premium selection of furniture & mattresses, GW Home offers a rotating collection of original art from local artists representing ArtClvb, Cranbrook Academy of Art, the College for Creative Studies, as well as individual entrepreneurs. The collection includes ceramics, paintings and photographs displayed throughout GW Home’s three levels and available for purchase, making local artwork accessible to more people.
