Ellen Sherman is an abstract visual artist working out of Ann Arbor Michigan. She graduated with her BFA in Studio Art from Michigan State University in 2008 and has been a full time artist since 2011. Ellen’s practice is rooted in renewal and re-invention, using paintings she cuts apart and reassembles to address these themes. She is inspired by rhythms, colors and movement found in nature, and the balancing act between moments planned and unplanned in her work.
Her work can be found in collections throughout the US, Canada and Japan.
