Martyna Alexander is a Detroit-based artist interested in how sustainable constructs of routine and lifestyle–visualized as graphic shapes and systems–can create an art practice that might push back against institutional and societal structures that oppose self-nurturing methodologies.

Originally, a designer working in corporate settings for over 10 years, she began using her compositional tools to create abstract solutionless works of art. Using her art to explore the position of her generation between both extreme-tech and more traditional anti-tech activities and lifestyles, expressed as visual dichotomies moments of balance in her work.
